Taipower implemented a mentorship system in 2007. New employees are assigned mentors during their internships (or work training). Mentors help formulate plans, set learning goals, and arrange suitable job positions in accordance with each new employee’s domain of expertise. Most importantly, mentors share valuable techniques and experiences and support new employees in all aspects of their work and lives so that they can quickly adapt to their new roles.
Performance Evaluation
Employee performance is regularly evaluated. These evaluations serve as the basis for annual assessments, training, rewards, promotions, model staff selection, punishments and dispatching. The assessment process reviews professional competence, individual and team performances, job attitudes, ethics and integrity as well as management and leadership skills.
