Since 1999, the villagers were invited to the Radiation Laboratory of Taiwan Power Company’s No. 3 Nuclear Power Plant to measure the presence of artificial radioactive substances in the body. 4,423 people have accepted the test by September 27, 2017. The Ministry of Economic Affairs agreed that the project ended on June 30, 2017. In this case, health checkups for Lanyu residents were conducted in accordance with the Executive Yuan’s request.
