Just Flow-2019 Taipower Cultural Heritage Exhibition' was launched today (September 6th) at Taichung Cultural Heritage Park. The theme for the exhibition was 'Illuminating Taiwan's Development—A 100-year History of Hydropower'. There were more than 100 exhibits coming from hydropower plants around Taiwan, which included precious cultural and historical documents and objects such as electricity generation objects and construction/architectural blueprints, etc., displayed in the nine major exhibition areas at the exhibition venue. Some 100-year-old industrial cultural and historical relics were exhibited for the first time. Taipower stated that since hydropower was the source of Taiwan's development, Taipower would like to exhibit the abundant cultural heritage collected from recent years' stocktaking as an effort to conserve cultural heritage. There were also limited edition & new packaging Taipower ice pops available at the Taichung exhibition venue. Taipower also made a slide from the model of penstock used in hydropower plant as well as a very cute mini tower for kids to climb. Visitors are invited to enjoy the exhibition and at the same time have something special to eat and something interesting to play with.

In order to systematically conserve historic cultural heritage, Taipower activated the Cultural Heritage Conservation Project in 2016 and set up a special department to manage literature and historical data. In addition, staff specialized in cultural heritage were recruited for the first time and more than 100 people were called up around the country for the stocktaking of thousands of historical data and completed the stocktaking of various river basins' hydropower historical data. This was the first exhibition event held in Taichung following the 'Heritage Buildings Exhibition' in 2017 which presented cultural heritage collected from 13 historic sites and buildings and the 'Power Infrastructure as Landscape' cultural heritage exhibition in 2018 held at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park.
