Long-term Power Development Plan

Considering government's energy policy and both domestic and overseas environmental conditions, Taipower's latest power development program (2023 program, based on the report of MOEA) shows that, from 2023 to 2029, the volume of retirement of the installed capacity of thermal and nuclear power is going to be, approximately, 8,460MW. To cover the shortage of installed capacity due to the retirement of those units, Taipower is actively planning a series of new thermal power plants with total installed capacity of 14,440MW, including Tatan CC#7~#9, Hsinta Rebuild #1~#3, Taichung #1~#2, Talin Rebuild #1~#2 and Hsiehho Rebuild #1,Tunghsiao small gas and Tunghsiao Rebuild #4~#7 etc.(as shown in the figure below)
