Overview of Thermal Power Plants Projects

Taiwan is significantly deficient in indigenous energy resources, relying on imports for 98% of its energy supply. Consequently, in addition to the dedicated development of renewable energy, it is essential to continuously expand power sources. Several large-scale power generation projects, including the Datan, Hsinta, Taichung, Talin, and Tung Hsiao projects, are being actively promoted. These initiatives aim to maintain a reasonable reserve capacity margin, ensuring a stable power supply to support economic development.
