In order to pass on techniques and experience, adjust manpower structure, facilitate manpower resource development and upgrade management performance, Taipower engages in new employee recruitment and training programs.

For manpower recruitment, Taipower recruited highly-educated and qualified specialists. They underwent a 6-month probation period before starting to work. This was done in an attempt to cultivate in them the professional knowledge and techniques required in their work. For technicians, they underwent one-year probation period to substantiate their professional skills.

For on-the-job training, in addition to sending employees for overseas visits and training, or studying for master’s and doctoral degrees, this company also held supervisory, intermediate supervisory and senior supervisory training sessions to strengthen management knowledge and professional skills for each level’s leaders.

In order to flexibly and effectively utilize manpower resources, retraining programs were held to cultivate employees’ additional professional skills. For implementing the government policy, Taipower held “certification class” to help employees to obtain work-related certificates. Taipower will also continue to promote e-learning to reinforce its competitiveness.
