Honduras The Technical Cooperation Contract between ENEE and Taipower is entering its 33rd year. Up to the end of 2010, Taipower has sent 147 specialists to Honduras. Mr. Chieh-Hao Ho will continue to serve as Chief of Taipower Mission for one more year until November 2011. Mr. Alden Rivera, Deputy Minister of Honduras, was invited to Taiwan by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss the technical assistance issues of the PATUCA-3 hydro power project from December 9 to 10, 2010. The friendship between Taipower and ENEE was further enhanced. Japan ● Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. The Chubu Electric Power Company sent a 5-member delegation led by Mr. Katsuji Noda, Senior Managing Executive Officer, to pay a 4-day visit to Taipower starting from November 30. Discussion topics included smart power grid and others. ● Chugoku Electric Power Co., Inc. The 15th high-ranking delegation led by Mr. Yoshio Sano, Managing Director & General Manager, paid a 10-day visit to Taipower starting from April 12. An exchange of opinions was made on information system & telecommunications, energy conservation, solar energy and other relevant issues. ● WANO-TC (WANO–Tokyo Center) WANO-TC sent 4 experts to Taipower to provide technical support for “Operation Team Performance” at the 2nd Nuclear Power Plant from May 17 to 22, 2010. ● JCOAL (Japan Coal Energy Center) Mr. Nakagaki Yoshihiko, Chairman of JCOAL, led a 21-member delegation including members from TEPCO, CEPC, KEPC, JPOWER, FEPC, IHI,TOSHIBA, HITACHI and MHI, to pay a 4-day visit to Taipower starting from July 27, 2010. The purpose of this visit was to introduce the supercritical unit and the latest environmental protection improvement technology. South Africa The 22nd Cooperation Conference between Eskom and Taipower was held in the headquarters of Eskom on November 9, 2010. The main discussion topics included power development, renewable energy, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and carbon capture and storage, etc. In addition, both parties exchanged opinions and experiences on power-related subjects. |
