The 18th Conference and Exhibition of the 2010 CEPSI of AESIEAP

The grand opening of the 18th Conference of the Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI) was held on October 25-28, 2010 at the Taipei International Convention Center. A total of 1,208 delegates from 29 countries and regions participated in the big event. The theme of the Conference was “Challenges and Opportunities of the Electric Power Industry in an Uncertain Era”. Mr. John R. Fielder, President of Southern California Edison, was invited as the keynote speaker. One closing speech, 9 panel sessions, 52 technical sessions, and 3 posting paper presentations were all well arranged.

The 2010 CEPSI Exhibition was also held on October 25-28, 2010 at the Taipei World Trade Center. A total of 44 well-known local and foreign companies joined the exhibition. There were 230 booths exhibiting the most advanced electric technologies, electric-related products, information technology and services. This exhibition provided an ideal occasion for information exchange among power industries to create markets and business opportunities.

The 22nd CRIEPI/TPC General Meeting

The 22nd CRIEPI/TPC General Meeting was held on December 13-14 in Japan. A 5-member delegation from Taipower led by Mr. Chang-Ren Fei, Vice President and the General Manager of Taiwan Power Research Institute, who attended the meeting. Discussion topics included smart grid, deployment of distribution automation and AMI, and others. A technical tour was arranged for the delegates to visit Komae Center.
