The Sixth Transmission and Substation Project
The Sixth Transmission and Substation Project To comply with power development program and regional load growth, Taipower has formulated the prcvious five and half years project, which is started in 2001. However, because of the global economic recession, the growth on power demands slowed down during the past few years. In order to increase investment effectiveness, the period of this project has been extended to 8 years. Meanwhile, the total capacity of substations has been revised to 71,791 MVA and the total length of transmission lines has been was adjusted to 4,185 ckt-km. The major construction works include:
