Project Objectives

  In order to comply with the growth of electric power demand in Taiwan area during July 2003  and December 2007 ,extending and improving distribution system is ecessary. By reducing power loss , upgrading quality and reliability , we enhance our services to customers and follow  the policy of the government 〝By developing the electric power affairs to meet requirements of economical growth〞。
 
 

Project Content

For enhancing our electric distribution system and achieving the goal of the project objectives , the content of 〝The Fifth Power Distribution Project〞is listed as below:
 

1.   Building Of Distribution Substation :The 5 new Distribution Substations will be established. There are 122 new feeders in these 5 D/S .
 

2.   Project Of distribution network for metropolitan area.
Following the government’s steps , we continue to develop the project of exchanging overhead power lines to underground cables. We have completed 3,564 kilo-meters circuit length of underground cables until the end of 2005 .Roughly speaking , it’s 73% of our total circuit length.
  

3.   Changing Voltage Of Power Distribution System:
We have announced the 22.8kv supply area since 1991,and we devote all our efforts to the use of 22.8kv power system.
During July 2003 and Dec. 2005, we have changed the system voltage from 11.4 to 22.8kv for 35.49 kilo-meters long.
  

4.   Enhancing of Power Supply Stability To improve the power supply quality and stability, we have planned many feeding line connection projects , sub feeding loop system improving projects , load adjustment projects , and the adjustment includes 61.37 kilo-meters underground cable and 45.68 kilo-meters overhead line.
  

5.  Automation Of Power Feeding Line: 
     (1) Level and Region Of Power Feeding Line Automation:

  We planned to fulfill the automation of the power feeding lines for 17 substation ,including 327 power feeded lines.
The region includes Banciao , Tucheng, Jhonghe, Yonghe, Sindian and Wenshan District of Taipei city。
